DOE Grant

We are very happy to receive a grant from the Department of Energy's Nuclear Energy University Program (NEUP) to study radiative heat transfer in molten salts. The project is led by Raluca Scarlat's group in the Engineering Physics department at UW-Madison.

Jon King, a former collaborator, spent 6 months in the group as a Research Intern, and is now starting his career at Jensen Hughes. We anticipate that Jon will have several more papers that will come out over the next year, and wish him the very best in his new job.

We were very happy to host Bryan Rubio, an undergrad from the University of New Mexico, for a 2.5-month summer internship through the GERS SURE program. We wish Bryan all the best as he returns to UNM to finish his degree.

It was a pleasure to host Graham Joe, an undergrad from the University of Waterloo, for two consecutive 4-month co-op terms! Graham has now returned to Waterloo to finish his degree. We anticipate that Graham will have a number of papers that will come out over the course of the next year.
